2012 Paul Dolan Vineyards Cabernet Sauvignon
91 POINTS, Editor’s Choice - Wine Enthusiast
Available exclusively through a limited re-release from the winery's private library collection. This Mendocino County Cabernet Sauvignon is an amply structured wine tasting of rich plum and juiced black currant adorned by mocha mint. This wine is showing very well right now but has the tannic backbone to support a rich flavor profile for years to come.
"This is serious and concentrated, probably built to age a few more years before its peak. It smells soaked with black cherry and black currant aromas, tastes deep, ripe and compelling, and feels full bodied and firmly tannic. The flavors are powerful enough to match the big texture, so it should improve through 2020. Editors' Choice."

"Lush but not at all heavy, this organically grown cabernet feels a bit old-school, with mint and cedar bark aromas spicing its persistent blue fruit. It’s not particularly intense or impactful, just delicious and bright—a cabernet that’s restrained enough for duck breast. "
