In a recent review and article, Wine Enthusiast magazine awarded the 2015 Paul Dolan Vineyards Mendocino County Zinfandel a rating of 89 Points and Editors' Choice, and named it in their list of "7 Unabashedly Big, Bold Reds for Your Summer BBQ".
"Though there’s a tendency to turn to lighter-style reds, white wines, and rosés when it’s time to cook and eat outdoors, there’s no need to put away the big bold bottles until the fall. Full-bodied, opulent and tannin-packed reds not only please many palates, but the rich flavors of barbecue and grilled meat can also help tame these wines."
"Raspberry and blackberry aromas and ultraripe, opulent, jammy flavors fill the big, soft frame of this full-bodied wine. It has fruit in spades, milk chocolate and raspberry notes that linger on the finish, relatively light tannins and a touch of richness.

Reverse Wine Snob recently gave an outstanding review to Paul Dolan Vineyards 2013 Sauvignon Blanc: "The 2013 Paul Dolan Vineyards Mendocino County Sauvignon Blanc begins with a rather elegant aroma of citrus, light floral notes, a little lemongrass and a touch of tropical fruit (kiwi). Tasting the wine reveals plenty of crisp fruit, good acidity and well integrated spice. The fruit is similar to the nose but quite zesty in the mouth and features touches of honey. Nice spice notes come to the front on the long finish. I’m not sure I’ve ever had a Sauvignon Blanc with such nice zesty, vibrant spice notes."

Wine Expert Jim Gordon writes: "This is serious and concentrated, probably built to age a few more years before its peak. It smells soaked with black cherry and black currant aromas, tastes deep, ripe and compelling, and feels full bodied and firmly tannic. The flavors are powerful enough to match the big texture, so it should improve through 2020."
